Health Disclaimer
Just so there’s no misunderstanding or misinterpretation of anything I do or say…
I am not a Doctor. I am not a Neurologist, Physiologist, Endocrinologist, Nutritionist or any medical professional. For that reason, I am not qualified to provide any diagnosis or treatment. I’m a qualified integrative nutrition health coach but this definitely does not qualify me to discuss these more experienced details of health.
I work with national and international healthcare bodies (as a Consumer Representative) to put forward a patient’s perspective and my own point of view. This is in line with Standard 2 of the National Safety and Quality Health Services Standards (NHQHS 2019, 2nd Edition).
Similarly, health information you read on here is based on my own opinions and experiences.
If qualified input is required I will always seek the expertise of a professional individual or organisation, as you’ll find referenced.
With regard to brain health, the word ‘cure’ has been misused with reference to my acquired brain injury. Currently, there is no cure for brain injury. The scar tissue on my brain is permanent but I manage most of the side effects with appropriate lifestyle interventions and minimal medication, as prescribed by my specialists.
I recognise that we all have different needs and that my own experiences will not always reflect yours. I personally take an integrative approach to health and understand that it is never just about the food, exercise, medication, mindset or other.
If you are ever in any doubt please do not hesitate to contact a professional.
Here’s to good health,
Lisa Cox
